Types of Work-Based Learning
- Apprenticeships: Structured programs combining on-the-job training with classroom instruction.
- Pre-Apprenticeships: Programs preparing individuals for apprenticeship opportunities.
- Work Experience and Internships: Short-term opportunities for hands-on experience.
- Transitional Jobs: Time-limited, wage-paid work experiences.
- On-The-Job Training (OJT): Hire and train skilled workers with reimbursement for training costs.
- Customized Training: Tailored training programs for specific business needs.
- Incumbent Worker Training (IWT): Upskill current employees to retain and advance within your company.
Retraining and Upskilling Programs

- Customized Training Program (CTP): Interest-free training loan assistance.
- Job Skills Program (JSP): Funds half of the training cost, with a matching contribution from employers.
- Incumbent Worker Training (IWT): Helps employees acquire skills to retain or advance in their jobs, or avert layoffs.
